OpenXP
Privacy policy
We built OpenXP around the idea that privacy is declared up front, next to the thing that collects the data — so here is exactly what this website collects, why, and where it goes. It is deliberately short, because we collect very little.
Who we are
openxp.ai is operated by Rewi.re (United Kingdom), the company behind the OpenXP project. For anything in this policy, contact signups@openxp.ai.
What we collect, and why
1. The launch-updates signup
If you join the launch list, we collect your email address and, if you choose to tell us, your area of interest. We use them for one purpose: sending you updates about OpenXP — the beta, the launch, and significant milestones. The legal basis is your consent: you typed your address and pressed the button, and you can withdraw that consent at any time (see below).
Your address is stored with our email service provider, which also sends you a welcome email and any updates. We additionally receive an internal notification that you signed up. That is the entire flow — your address is not used for anything else, not enriched, not shared with anyone beyond the providers named on this page, and never sold.
2. Ordinary server logs
Like every website, serving you pages means our infrastructure providers see your IP address and standard request metadata for hosting, signup, and delivery of the video media on this site. These logs exist to operate and secure the site, nothing more.
3. What we deliberately don't do
No analytics. No advertising. No tracking pixels. No cookies.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays on the launch list until you unsubscribe or until we retire the list, whichever comes first. Infrastructure logs are retained per our providers' standard short-term schedules.
Where it's processed
Our providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under their published safeguards for international transfers (UK-approved mechanisms such as the IDTA/SCCs or the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; you can restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. The fastest routes: use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or write to signups@openxp.ai and we will act on it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If that has happened, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
As OpenXP evolves this policy will too. We will update this page and its effective date whenever the data flow changes — and per the principle above, nothing new gets collected without being declared here first.
